Entacmaea quadricolor, the bubble-tip anemone (family Actiniidae), is one of the most widely kept sea anemones in the marine aquarium hobby, valued for its distinctive bubble-shaped tentacle tips and its role as host to at least 13 clownfish species (Amphiprioninae) across the Indo-Pacific. It is found in shallow reef environments occurring in both solitary and clonal aggregating forms depending on light and current conditions. The species harbors Symbiodiniaceae photosymbionts and tolerates a wide range of lighting conditions. Genomic data have been generated for this species and are available in public databases, enabling comparative studies of cnidarian evolution and ecology.
