About Neoturris breviconis

Neoturris breviconis is a hydrozoan medusa (family Pandeidae) found in cold temperate and boreal oceanic waters of the North Atlantic and Arctic, a relatively large hydromedusa with a tall, conical bell and four radial canals bearing clusters of tentacles used for prey capture. Little is known about the benthic hydroid stage of this species, which is characteristic of many pandeid hydromedusae with poorly characterized polyp phases in cold-water environments.
