Sanderia malayensis is a scyphozoan jellyfish (family Pelagiidae) distributed in coastal waters of the Indo-Pacific, particularly in Southeast Asian seas, forming a moderate-sized medusa with eight marginal lappets and nematocyst-bearing tentacles capable of causing skin irritation. It is a pelagic predator feeding on zooplankton and small fish larvae in tropical coastal and estuarine environments.
