
Stichodactyla haddoni, Haddon's carpet anemone (family Stichodactylidae), is one of the largest sea anemones in the world, found in shallow sandy and rubble substrates of the Indo-Pacific with a broad, flat oral disc reaching up to 1 m in diameter bearing thousands of short, sticky tentacles that can trap and paralyze prey. It serves as a host anemone for at least eight species of clownfish including Amphiprion clarkii and A.
