Zoanthus solanderi is a colonial zoantharian (family Zoanthidae) found in shallow Caribbean and tropical western Atlantic reef environments, forming encrusting mats of polyps on hard substrates from intertidal rocks to shallow reef slopes. Named after the botanist Daniel Solander, it is one of the classic Caribbean zoanthid species studied since the early days of coral reef biology.
